Mesh belt hardening
Continuous mesh-belt processing at our plant in Ludhiana (Pawa, G.T. Road), for small and medium parts that need the same hardening and tempering cycle in volume.

Mesh belt
Mesh belt hardening and tempering job work at our plant in Ludhiana (Pawa, G.T. Road) is continuous processing: small and medium parts move through the furnace on a belt instead of sitting in a stacked load.
The belt is the fixture. Once speed and furnace settings are agreed for a part, the next lot of that part can run the same way. That is what production buyers usually want from heat treatment: not a different result every time a basket is loaded. It is the way we deliver hardening and tempering services for volume work.
The cycle
A general description. The settings for your part come from the grade and the drawing, not from a fixed menu.
Parts are placed so they travel separately rather than in a piled load. The lot is identified against your documents before it starts.
The belt carries parts through the hot zone. Time in that zone is set for the grade and the section, and held for the run.
Hardening is the quench off the belt. Tempering follows, so the hardness and toughness match the specification rather than stopping at a brittle quench.
Hardness is tested in-house. The lot record connects what went on the belt with what is dispatched.
Fit
Continuous mesh-belt processing earns its place when many similar parts need the same cycle.
Typical conversations are about fasteners, pins, bushes, small gears and other parts that are numerous, similar and small enough to travel on a belt. If you only have a handful of large pieces, say so. We would rather tell you the belt is the wrong route than force the part onto it.
After the belt, scale can be removed by shot blasting, and the part can move to CNC machining in the same plant. Where the drawing wants a refined structure first, normalizing is discussed as an earlier step. All of this sits under heat treatment in Ludhiana.
A sketch of the part, the grade, the hardness and a monthly quantity are enough for a first look. We will confirm whether the part can run continuously.

What procurement teams ask before sending a lot.
A mesh belt is a moving metal belt that carries parts through a furnace. In mesh belt hardening and tempering job work, parts are heated as they travel, quenched, and then tempered. Because the belt speed and the furnace settings stay put, each part in the lot sees the same cycle.
Small and medium parts in volume: fasteners, pins, bushes, washers, small gears, small shafts and similar components that can sit on a belt and do not need individual handling. Very large parts, or parts with a shape that will not ride on a belt, are a different conversation.
In a batch, pieces at the outside and pieces in the middle of a load do not always heat and cool alike. On a belt, parts are spread out and move through the same zones one after another. That is the point of continuous processing for repeat production.
Yes. Mesh belt hardening and tempering job work is done at our plant in Ludhiana (Pawa, G.T. Road), alongside normalizing, shot blasting and CNC machining.
Send your drawing for a quote, with grade, hardness and the quantity per lot. We confirm that the part can run on the belt, then a trial lot is the usual first step.
